It is in the Americas, but not in a country that has been mentioned so far. The ruins were built by one of the lesser known civilisations wantonly destroyed by the Spaniards when looking for gold. Come on, isn't Asher supposed to have been everywhere?

Well with those clues it has to be some of the Mayan (or similar) ruines. As for countries not mentioned it has to be Honduras or Guatemala, but I don't know the names of the Archeological sites.

If it is not in Central America, then it is Parque Tayrona in Colombia.

Ooooo, so, so close Panoramix24. It's not Mayan, not in Central America at all. There are ruins from the same civilisation in Park Tayrona, but it wasn't actually in the park (I went there about 2 days after the pics were taken, before heading back to civilisation). Shouldn't take too much now!

You're right, it's not San Agustin or Tierradentro. The reason I was at Tayrona 2 days later was because it took two days to walk out of there, otherwise I'd have been there that day. Just have a look what's near Park Tayrona. It does need guides to get there, and only a few companies are allowed to take people there.

I think it's St Petersburg, with St Isaac's Cathedral being the dome.  If not it's very similar!

Someone who is afraid of heights doesn't forget those steps in a hurry, even if it was 14 years ago!

It may be a couple of days before I find something to post.
