Where's Wally? Part III

[Mod edit - this is the continuation of Where's Wally ??? - see first post for an explanation of the game]

Okay .. talk about HINTS! This is indeed in China.

But where (what city and province) and why is it significant--as IF that isn't clear?! ;)

Nope.

This city and area is most important to the Chinese for obvious reasons.

Nice Googling Stef. :D

Yes, Daqing, China's most significant oil field. Thousands of oil "pump jacks" in the area and hundreds (thousands??) right inside the city..in hotel parking lots..anywhere. The surface disturbance in the oil areas around the city are deplorable .. likes like a spent mine field. I drove through Daqing a couple of years ago ... May 6, 2006.

Your turn. (I'll be away all week doing "family" stuff, so will not be posting here as much for about one week.)

Cheers!

Clive

I know there aren't many clues, but this IS a very well photographed spot.  If nobody gets it soon, I'll add another shot from nearby.  I want more than just the country.  I shoot so little landscape, it's not easy coming up with something!
