Sorry Stef., ZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzz.

Asher got me looking. I recall the conical shells as winkles--but that was decades ago. They were found glued to large rocks on the seaside. I can see the tip of this critter looking like springtide's picture...

springtide ? ? ?

Ah, now I see where the shape is from.  :)  Didn't mean to protest, just couldn't see the "whole picture".

Asher.....no need to apologize. I thinnk we are still not correct....I recall a conical univalve that did not have the snail-like twist...simply a cone....they glomed onto the rocks. THAT'S what I thought the original image was and I though they were winkles. But I can't find pictures of what I was thinking on Google. Damn..confusing. Hummm.....

Springtide..what say yea?

Later...

AHA! Limpits!!! Is this what was shown?...See "M" ... or was it indeed a snail-like winkle?

Evil grin.

My life is complete now having stumped Tim with a biological macro.

Will give a hint later today. In the meantime you will have to unearth something yourself.

Stef.? ? ? You doing Internet via mental telepathy these days?

Okay Asher is close. It is something on a root.

We should all have such a positive relationship.

You will pee when you find out.
