Fud, did they do a good job with your camera? Is it spot on now? or is it like frank's where it still has focus issues?

Never had any problems with mine from day one - always been sharp even at wide apertures (either that or my focusing is constantly off and the camera is then correcting it :)).  Don't know if that was because it was one of the early ones from the states.

Doctore- where did you send your camera to? Can't believe it is still outthere somewhere? How come?
What a bummer! Hope you will get it back soon.

The first step is admitting you have a problem.

Do you actually have to pay for the repair?
Stef.
P.S. Ignore the other post of mine in the other thread.

Reverting to the original post -

I've a big smile on my face after having a good laugh! -

1- Because the idea of selling some tape and a tiny card on Ebay for £30+ was so funny
2 - When I read it out OH nearly went apoplectic at the thought of someone taking his beloved histogram etc away!!  For a Liverpudlian he didn't twig on too quickly that it was only a joke! LOL LOL

Seriously though - if you balance outdoor photography v sitting in front of a pooter one tends to start to be a bit more careful about being trigger happy!
When we go to one Wildlife reserve there are always 2 fellers with image tanks 'firing at will' on a weekend - they spend the whole week wading through all the 100s of images just to find just a few......rather them than me!
Often while traveling with a camera we arrive just as the sun slips over the horizon of a moment, too late to expose film, only time enough to expose our hearts.  ~Minor White

Gear - Sony Alpha77 /Minolta 300mm f4 /Tamron XR DiII SP 17-50mm f2.8 / Minolta 28-80mm/Tamron Di 90mm macro . And various slaves/lights and studio stuff.
