The weather looks good around here for this weekend, with some low-angle yellowish light after 2pm so I'd like to get out and start shooting (with a camera !) some Red Kites charging around the sky near my home. Hand held is obvious, but if I want to go for some maximum DoF shots and the attendant slow shutter speeds I'll also try my monopod. I'll use high ISO and exposure comp too, but I'm going experimenting.
Now, for a tripod I'll always switch SteadyShot off (if I remember to do it) the question is, do I leave the SteadyShot switched on or off for a monopod ?
Any advice gratefully received.
