HSM/PZD a/f question

when using a lens that does not have a screw drive to focus with, does the connector in the body still spin when using a non screw drive focussing lens..................?

I've never heard it on any of my cameras....
There are people who actually think LENS stabilization is better than sensor shifting!

As soon as you attach an SSM lens the camera recognise the lens and keep the drive shaft not in gage. If you release the lens you will see that the shaft is not fix out. It has a spring and electromagnetic valve to get in action if the camera recognise an non SSM lens

I take it then that the Sigma 120-400 HSM is supported by the A350/550 and 700
