Help! pink and yellow gradient on all photos
« on: March 24, 2014, 01:54:58 AM »
I have a Sony Alpha 300 that I've had for 5+ years. I'm having a very strange problem where all my photos come out with this awful pink and yellow gradient, which radiates from the top right corner.

Here's a photo:

(the wall is actually blank white)

This problem happened once before, but I removed the UV filter I had on the lens and that fixed it at the time. There's no filter on the lens now. I also shot photos about 4 hours before I started having this problem again and those came out fine.

I've tried shooting on automatic and manual settings, and multiple white balance settings, but no change.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Can you try on another lens, just to eliminate a lens problem. If it was a film camera I would think it was light getting in, as its digital I would say it may be the sensor, although I have never seen anything like that. You could take it into a dealer and get a quote, or at least an opinion for free.

Thanks for your reply. No luck with another lens, I guess I'll have to bring it in. :(

New one on me too. You have obviously turned it off and on again.  Make sure you let us know what the diagnosis is and welcome.
Sorry we could be of much help...john
