SONY A900 AND LIVEVIEW

Hi is there anyone that tested any model (like zingview) to the specific camera?i need the live view option to have it on my camera and this is the only way.
i hope sony will update the camera with a new firmware to unlock the option of the live view..if there is anyone that tested the compatibility of a gadget for the view finder with the specific model a900 then please reply to me

Somehow I think that is extremely unlikely, if it is even possible.

Have you considered a second body (from the A300, A330, A350, A380, A500, A550), or is there specific requirements from the A900 that you need to use with liveview?

Like harveyzone Said is impossible with the existing model a900. The camera must have live view to be able to work with zingview

Hi manoskrystalis yes you can use the zigview S2 I use it for product photography where the client wants to see the the shot first, you can connect it to an external monitor also with a standard cable.

I don't think there is anything to "unlock". That is, my guess is that there just isn't the hardware nor physical connections to do that. However, there is the option where you can see the photo on your computer monitor just after the photo was taken. I forget what it's called. I think you can do that with the A900 and LightRoom through the import process. I'm not exactly sure how.

Winjeel there is a tutorial in the darkroom section about how to use the A900 connected to the computer as far as I remember.

Dear Manos Krystalis,

 

Zigview digital view finder does not support Sony A900 because the eye piece adapter is not ready.

 

Also, we don’t have plan to make it.

THIS IS the answer i took from zingview.so you use a hand made eye piece adapter to make zingview work?
and can u tell me please what is the exact model of zingview so i can bye it?
i mean they make a lot of them if you visit their home page,and where did you bought seperately the eye piece adapter??

I just use the standard minolta eye piece, the model is ZIGVIEW S2B.

The resolution with zingview is not as good as i thought would be.Althought when you use zingview as a standalone camera it has a remarkable quality when you place it upon the camera it loses a lot regarding the resolution.i do not know why.
I just ordered an ff lens.Do you beleive by changing the lens will make zingview works with a better resolution?

All the Zigview does is give you a video feed off the viewfinder image at 270,00 pixels on a 2 1/2 inch screen - which is a lot less than the resolution of the camera's 921,600 3 inch LCD screen - so resolution of the Zigview is in comparison never going to be very good whatever lens you fit.

Live view can't be "unlocked" on the a900 because a whole lot of actual hardware is required to implement live view and it's simply not there in the a900.
