« on: August 14, 2011, 09:12:13 PM »
Hello, I'm new to here.

I've been using some canon and pentax gears and since 2011, I'm using A33.

really happy with the camera but recently I purchased A850.

I'm just wondering if there are lcd protector for both screen (rear and front).

which one will be good for A850?

Thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome to the forum. I have always used the Giotto's glass LCD protectors on my A700 and A900.
They are avaliable in many places so best check for the best price See Here  There are cheaper alternatives, but as with everything you get what you pay for.

Hi,

Shame, as I've just sold my spare (NEW) rear LCD glass stick-on protector.  It's the FOTGA version for A900 (fits A850 as well as screens are the same size).  It's like the GGS version, but cheaper I think.  Go to evilBay and type in item number: 260807512018.  same price as I paid and an excellent bit of kit.  Makes the data really clear and sharp on the LCD.  Very highly recommended.  If you have a Topcashback account (free to sign up if you haven't), always click through as eBay is a listed company and you get 40.4% rebate of the listing fees.  I use them all the time for online purchases and have saved a small fortune.

For my @700 I used to cut the protectors from inexpensive PDA film protectors. The @700 had a groove around the LCD that made trimming with an e-Xacto knife real easy. The @900 does not have that groove and I would assume the @850 doesn't either. So, I picked up an anti-glare product from CLARIVUE.COM for $12.99 CDN x2 (TWO) pieces. I like the matte non-glare finish myself. It goes on easy and leaves me a spare cover.
