I blame it on David Stallard
« on: October 05, 2010, 09:21:55 PM »
that I went out and finally got an A900 today from Currys for £1,599 (they only had two left in stock at their Fulham megastore and the website said that Currys were completely out of stock).  I had  been thinking about waiting for the A77? but decided it probably won't be out until the new year and if it is with the translucent mirror I would probably then wait six months for user feedback before buying it.  Then I kept seeing the colours in David's recent photos, and Stef's and Rob's over the last year and decided to commit to the 900 :)

I don't suppose there are any A900 users out there who bought the vertical grip but don't really use it and might be thinking of selling it? ;)

Congratulations Fud,
You'll love it. Now your lens line up will really come into its own.
Looking forward to seeing some images you take with it.

Hey I have broad shoulders ;)

Fantastic price, can't wait to see the shots and hear your opinion.  Guess I had better get my 700 up for sale pretty quick before there is too much choice.

Don't worry as I am not selling either of my A700's.  The one which I broke the flash attachment on I might send to get converted in to an IR camera (costs about £200) or might start getting my 9 year old daughter more interested in photography by giving it to her with a couple of old powered zooms I still have from my film days.

I only ever sold one camera- the Minolta 7D. On the other hand I really wonder sometimes what to do with all my film camera gear...

I wonder if there is a market for a polaroid land camera from the 1960's and I still have my Minolta XE5...john
