Alpha 900; programming P1, P2, P3
« on: February 18, 2009, 09:56:52 AM »
I have been using the A900 for several months and love it; just received the new 70-400mm and its also GREAT!
However, the user manual is the pits and I am waiting for Gary Friedman to come out with his new book on using the 900.... I have, in the meantime, been trying to program the P1, P2 and P3 settings, to no avail. Has anyone been able to do this?

Welcome to the forums. I haven't upgraded my camera, so I can't help, but I'm sure someone will be able to.  I'm still operating a camera from another era, and so there's no program settings (I think), and have been happy using manual.

Yes- actually had no problem doing this ??? Perhaps I did something wrong ???
Choose your settings- than go into menu - where the camera symbol is go to #4- it is the first on on the list. Just press your joystick and the memory dialogue will open- choose under which P you want to save it and that should do it. I assume that was what your question was about as it is not P but M1/2/3?
Hope this helps?

Thanks every one.
actually, I have been doing exactly what was recommended Stef; and it did not take the changes.
i will now try to cancel all previous changes (I had put some in place previously, but couldn't change them...). I revert as I fear there may be a software glitch...
