New low prices..!!!!!!!!!!!
Ha ! Warehouse Express are now selling the A900 and A850 bodies at the same price as that well-known photography specialist, Amazon ! C'mon guys, at least try
to compete, please. Amazon is where I bought my 7D, simply because they offered the best price. I would have liked to give business to a camera store, but the price differential was just too great.
On another subject, but in the same thread, I couldn't dis
agree more with Stef and Rogprov. After half a lifetime in the software business I know that it is not possible to foresee all possible uses of a piece of software or firmware, especially if it runs something as complex as a modern camera. If an issue arises, there is only one honest way to react to it, and it's this: if a manufacturer sells something with a bug, however obscure the bug may be, they should fix it. They should do it properly (i.e. test the fix thoroughly), they should do it as quickly as possible and then they should publish the fix free of charge, regardless of the age of the product.
Problems only arise if manufacturers publish enormous software fixes, which by their existence erode the customer's confidence in their purchase. Are you reading this, Microsoft ?
Sorry if this comes across as a bit of a lecture but I have a lot of experience of this, and and have seen a lot of manufacturers get this badly wrong. If there is a problem with a Sony camera and Sony are vigorous about publishing a fix, I say good for them. IMO, there is no other way to behave and stay in good faith with your customers.
Spain have just won the World Cup against a dirty-playing Netherlands. Spain deserved their win, and I'm off to bed
