A900 [Toggle switch]

I have a A900, no problems apart from one, it happened a few days ago. On preview my toggle switch [in the manual its called Multi-selector] will only move right, and up/down.. I reset the camera but that did'nt cure it.. anyone hopefully help me.. otherwise the camera does a good job..

Doesn't sound good, you could try removing the battery completely and waiting five minutes or so before replacing.

It sounds this is a mechanical problem? The selector moves right, up and down, but not left? When you move the selector does the camera respond or is it dead?

If the problem is mechanical there is not much what you can do ...

Thank you for your help.. the selector only responds on the positions i've previusly told you about.. I think i'll go back to my A100 thats a great camera..

Hi George,

I have not heard this kind of problem. You could ask this from Sony Maintenance, maybe you get estimation for repair price.

Interesting to hear what is the outcome.

Hi. Kurt.. I've opened sony maintenace and so far I'm still waiting, this is what they did.... Your question has been opened to all Digital Cameras Experts.
