I go to playback mode and try to view 1 picture at a time that was taken and it either locks and don't move to the next image or its VERY slow when shuffling to get to see the other images I have taken?  Thank you.  I shoot in Raw

What memory card are you using? Is it full? How old and what is it's read/write speed?

Is this just after shooting a burst of images?
I believe the A99 goes 'busy' when clearing the buffer onto the card (something that is noted as being improved with the A99II)

Between them, I think Cholly and Faldrax have given you a clue.  The buffer of course clears quicker with a fast card. I shoot Raw with an A99 and must admit I do not bother to review the images very often.  Easier to see the fine detail that I would look for on my 27" monitor than the back of the screen  ...john
