Lenses Question
« on: February 12, 2015, 07:34:05 PM »
Hi all

I have just changed from Niko to Sony and got my self a nice little Sony Alpha a58, and I was just wondering as this is an A-Mount the same as the a77 range, does this mean that I can buy descent lenses for the a58 and when and if I decide to upgrade to the a77 I can use the same lenses.

Yes.  The a58 is an A-Mount camera.  So, any lenses you use on that will work just fine on the a77.

Welcome smudger1767.  Good to see that two folks have answered your question already.  Just one tip from me.  The A58 and A77 are crop sensor cameras so no problem if you go from one to the other.
Should you decide to move from the A58 to A99 , this is full frame and you may want to accumulate full frame lenses.

Now should you want to move to the nifty little A7 series, you can get adaptors so that your old nikon glass will fit.....john
