Histogram Views
« on: August 02, 2014, 10:38:52 AM »
I have researched this and think I know the answer but perhaps someone would be kind enough to confirm. I was watching a film on Macro photography where the chap said it was best to use the RGB Histogram rather than luminance. Now im sure one of my previous cameras had the RGB histogram but am I correct in thinking the A77 does not?

The a77 has a RGB histogram; however, it is not a "live" histogram. It is available after the shot is taken. You play back your image on your LCD and then you cycle through your displays, by pressing the DISP button until you see the histogram.

I hope this is helpful.

Ah thank you very much that was very helpful. I was sure I had seen it some where but couldn't find it anywhere this morning when looking. Thought it must have been on an old camera lol.

Morph, check this out:

http://friedmanarchives.com/alpha77/

It is THE single most comprehensive source of information about the A77/A65 available. PERIOD.

Any and everything you would ever want to know about your camera is in that book. ;)
