a77ii and elements
« on: July 27, 2015, 09:06:27 AM »
Hi,

I haven't posted here for ages but could someone tell what version of Elements will work with the a77ii, please? I've done gone and up graded from the a580 to the latest a77ii and somehow I don't think the Elements 9 I have now will process the new cameras RAW files. Thanks for any help.

It's the Adobe Camera Raw version you want to update, which may entail upgrading your version of Elements. I don't use Elements so I don't know which version of elements you require for the A77II. Probably the latest available version. All I can advise is to go to your Sony website and do a search.

I do not use elements either but I think they are up to version 13 and the A7II is relatively new so I would hazard a guess at 12 or 13.
It is a pain the proverbial when that happens but you can always use Adobe DNG until you get around to updating.
I have gone photoshop CC and it all just happens now....good luck and do not forget to tell us what you think of the camera ...john

Thanks for the replies . I am seriously getting the jitters waiting for the new body to arrive. It's a pain living in an out of the way place relying on couriers and the postal system. I've ordered Elements 13 as well. So, I reckon it'll be one steep learning curve in the coming days. But I still have the  a580 to keep me company 'till then.
