A77 and wobbly wired remote control
« on: January 25, 2013, 06:17:35 PM »
I picked up by A77 just before Christmas but early in the New Year I connected my remote control to the remote socket.

All the connections work OK and the remote works as expected but I noticed that the socket itself is a bit wobbly as if it is not located properly.

Has anyone else noticed similar?

It seems like a trival issue so I'm debating whether it is worth returning to the shop for exchange/repair. If I am going to return it then I should do it now.

Anyone have any views on return or not worth going to the trouble.

Alan.

I would take it with you to the shop and examine another A77 alongside it....john

I have 2 a77s (one of them is a replacement) and on both the remote socket is a bit loose.

I have 2 A77's and two cable shutter releases. My Yongnuo timer is fairly tight fit in both bodies but my old Minolta one is a little loose.

Sounds like this is quite common. http://www.sony.co.uk/discussions/message/1264332#1264332

However it doesn't seem to cause a problem.
