Interesting information for those of us not familiar with the area. The sculpture though is disappointing. While it is illustrative of cows trapped in trees during floods I don't think it is much more than that i.e. successful artistically beyond the back story.

A sculpture by Australian artist John Kelly, exhibited in Paris and the Hague before it was installed in Melbourne.

The Docklands area is a controversial re-development of railway yards and docks. A laissez faire state government allowed developers to build apartments, restaurants, amusements, offices without any master plan of how it all fitted together.  (My personal view of course).
It is a great place to visit but has no soul (again in my view).  There are some interesting structures and sculptures.  I have more in my image archives but finding time to reduce them to 200px is the issue.

Wrong time of day for lighting on these of course....john

That's a curious sculpture in the second image. Can you tell us more about it?

Nice set.

I like the 'ghost train' the long exposure has given in the first - would have been even better if it had been coming in / leaving via the bottom left, but you just can't rely on the trains these days

You've also controlled the exposure well on the last one, getting a nice balance with the whole tower illuminated and minimal blow-outs from the lights.
