(It is Daniela) I bought a polarizing filter just for this trip as I knew there would be intense island sunlight. I may have cranked it over too far and darn, I didn't think of adding a little fill fish.

John, our friend has a LOT of friends if you take my meaning... this isn't Daniella but another of the lovely ladies that love posing for Douglas. ;)

But SERIOUSLY; I too was wondering about a little fill flash to soften those shadows... High Speed Sync maybe?

Her lipstick matches her top and ties it in nicely.
I like the pose.  The only improvement I could suggest is a little more light into her eyes.  There is probably quite a glare and she (looks like Daniela from a previous image?) and she is squinting a little.
If there is a third person there, a little card or bounce to take a little shadow off the eyes....john

If you do not have Photoshop, try this. You may well be infringing someones copyright by doing it unless it is your own film. :D

If you use Windows 10 (or Windows eight) you can type 'Snip' into the cortana search and start the snipping tool. Run your film and pause it at the frame you want, watch that you are not between frames. Follow the instructions in the tool to save the frame to your clipboard or a hard drive location. Paste it into a photo editor. The Quality can only be as good as the original quality of the film.

Yes Chris.... BEAUTIFULLY DONE as usual.

1, 3, 6 in that order are my picks.

I REALLY like 1 for ALL the obvious reasons. 3 is good too, though not as perfect. And 6 is also a great image and I understand WHY you included the foreground tree and down-slope view in the image. But I think that peak in the clouds is strong enough on it's own to hold the majority of the interest, even with very little other context.

AGAIN, you sir are a MASTER of landscapes... Well done!

A few random comments on the random images.

You have some great scenes around you. I know I lack imagination and would probably drive/walk past most of them.
As always- the effect on me
Aberfely- my eye has difficulty getting past the bottom right hand corner.  A dab of darkening or a little desaturation of the orange leaves to match the leaves further into the image would do it for me.

Selibost beach- I would be tempted to darken the middle section a little.  Again my eye finds this the brightest and wants to stop there.

My pick would be stack polly under the brolly

I know you put them up for our benefit but folks go to the effort and so we should respond.

Of the 2 i like #2 best even though they are in rather contrasty harsh light, you have done a good job. If the sky had a bit more drama and texture it would be a really nice shot.
I still miss my A99, it was a great camera to use. I'm now so use to my A7 series cameras i've gotten over wanting it back due to their amazing image quality. Not that the A99 is lacking in any way of course.
