A big thank you from me as well for the years of dedication from the mods that have kept the site running so well for so long.

It is the end of an era, and I am sad to see the  end of it, but can see why when spammers are making the majority of posts.

Best wishes to all.

Hi guys :)

Sad to say I haven't received any message through the post (email) about the forum closing. Just got the notification of a new post to this section...

However... hearing that there are more 'spam' posts than actual posts from members I guess it was only going to be a matter of time :(

I'm going to tag add my thanks to this also... Thanks to the present and past admins for their time spent looking after it... thanks to those that contributed with guidance, help of all types and information. Thanks to ALL that shared their shots and those that gave comment - very much appreciated by me and I'm sure others also :)

In one of my last visits I mentioned that I'd come away from SONY... Only just about a year but... after years with the Minolta 7000i AF slr, 50mm f1.7 and 70-210 f4 Beercan from 1985 until an A700 in Aug 2008 when I joined this great forum - Nine and a half almost years!!!. Then to the A77, A77ii and ending with the A7Rii - - - lifetime with #7 it seems  and quite a few lenses, many used.

Now find myself with Nikon which seem to suit me now although I've not ruled out a return to SONY if carrying a bag full of lenses round with me gets to be cumbersome - not getting younger ;) The Sony RX10 iv (or next iteration of) may well be the next - and final - camera at some point...

Those that want to catch up, my Instagram is: franketchells (https://www.instagram.com/franketchells/ ) , Facebook is: http://facebook.com/fetchells  and I'm building a (work in continual progress with adding images etc.,) webpage at  http://franketchellsphotography.co.uk/

Wish everyone the very best for the future as well as my sincerest thanks to Ascot and chappo1 for their time spent here :)

It is the end of an era Mick and I am not going to get my 10,000 posts up but Charles and I are spending more time dealing with spammers than responding to posts. I do not use the new social media so all the best...john

My own keeness has waivered and shock horror i use a small compact travel Sony on our trips and even resorting to use the Samsung phone for our happy snaps. When i first joined many years ago the vibe of the group was ond of fun, sharing and learning. The knowledge and photographic skill levels found here amongst the members is incredible.

So Thank You Dynax Digital and all that made it what it became.

Sony Alpha SLT Camera Discussion / How to use Sony a77ii as webcam/Facebook Live
« Last post by jasona77ii on January 30, 2018, 02:56:34 AM »
Hello,

I have a Sony a77ii. I have been researching how to connect it to a PC in order to use it as a webcam for Facebook Live.

Is there a simple way to this? It seems that I need a $200-$300 broadcast card for the Sony to work.

Canon and Nikon DSLR's have a free software called Sparkocam that allows them to be compatible without a broadcast card. They simply connect via USB or HDMI.

Always good to see your young ladies and nice light in the eyes.
Improvement suggestions from me- some pink somewhere else in the outfit to tie it all together.  Lipstick, a hair tie a pink flower ....john
