Unfortunate choice of T shirt for boy.
Could you not choose a grey one for him?

Ha ha. Are you British?

Oy! I like my grey T-Shirts

Actually, given her pose, you could crop this to just the right hand half (turning it into a portrait orientation shot) - removing the bright red t-shirt (Now I'm sounding like John, always suggesting you crop !)

The composition works well with your subject on the right, looking into the 'empty space' on the left, but as John said the bright stall (?) in the left hand background does draw the eye.

The background to the right looks to have more muted tones, so perhaps a slight desaturation combined with a ND over the left (to make it more of a match to the Right hand background) would be sufficient - keeping the colour, but just a bit more subdued?

The three girls each with different expressions works well, as John said, a square crop to remove the guy in black would probably strengthen the image.

One of the 'guides' of composition is to have odd numbers of things, but it's one that does depend on the overall image - still, like all the 'rules', while you don't need to follow them, they can be a useful guide on what might be worth looking at changing for an alternative version of an image.

Bit late in replying on this one, apologies for that.

The pose looks to work well, my only suggestion would be to add a touch of fill with a reflector to camera left, probably at about 60 degrees, just to lift her hair a touch where it has merged to black - to try and bring back some definition - needs to be quite subtle though.

Poor choice of wording on my part- not sell the A6300 but sell the A mount lenses and get FE.

john

Sell all your A Mount lenses? Why, They are great lenses, or at least most are. Unfortunately, they are not selling well and fetch only a fraction of there true worth. you would take a big hit. You will get a few hundred for an A Mount lens and pay thousands for a similar E mount lens.

I stand corrected by Rex. The abilities of the LA-EA3 were unknown to me, I did not think it had AF on A mount lenses, I chose the LA-EA4 as

1) That is what was recommended to me by a pro.
2) I do not own any SSM lenses, Only one SAM lens.
3) More importantly, it came free with the A7. :D

I still like the LA-EA4 and use it a lot on my A7.

-If your lens are screw type and not SSM you will need the LA-EA4 adapter.
You will have the AF module of Sony A55 where is an old module but vary reliable.

-If your lens are SSM or the Cheap motorise lens then is better to buy LA-EA3.
With this adapter you will have all AF points available from camera for example 6300 have 493 AF points.
With this combination you will loose some functions like Lock on AF & Zone area and expand flexible spot.

-I have LA-EA3 and use it with 6300 not with 6000(witch I sold). Af performance and acutance is very good but if you need the best is better you buy and E mount lens with all advantages has E mount over A mount (like focus magnification while turning focus ring in MF or DMF mode)

I have the LA-EA4 which allows AF with A mount lenses on full frame and APSC E mount Cameras. It works very well and does a reasonable job of extending the A mounts into the E mount systems, with a few minor downsides like no ibis, if I remember correctly. The LA-EA3 is the same but is only MF I think. The other two LA-EA1 and 2 are discontinued as they were APSC only and redundant. I would not buy a Canikon lens with adapter, too many downsides.

Sell the A6300? Why, its a good camera.

I bought the ILCE-7 (A7) together with the LA-EA4 and although I am happy with that, I must admit that a full frame E mount camera is at its best with EF mount lenses. You get in lens image stabilization and some other benefits. I am sure the same is true of the APSC E mount cameras. Unfortunately FE lenses are very expensive, that is why I only have the Sony FE 24-70mm f4 ZA OSS for the A7 (plus all my A mounts).
