Hi everybody!

I'm new on this forum, (but quite an old chap). I use Minolta cameras since long, I still Keep my X300, X300s, Maxxum 5000, Dynax 7000. More recently I got a nice NEX-5 that has really catched me.
I mainly use old manual focusing lenses with adapters. Nice to use with the NEX.

After using (and loving) the NEX for a couple of month, I was thinking in trying the A-series of DSLR cameras from Sony. A local colleague is selling one A-350 quite cheap.

My preferred focusing mode is through zoomed Liveview. On the NEX I can select between x7 zoom or x14 zoom in liveview mode. My sight is not good nowadays, (on the traditional DSLRs without liveview focusing is a pain for me). So I've carefully been reading through the A-350 manual, and noticed the zoomed liveview in the A-350 is only x1.4 or x2.

Anyone having the A-350 and using manual focusing lenses could please give me some advice on if this smaller magnification size is enough to properly focusing?.

Thanks in advance.
Keep up this nice forum!.
Jes.
