Camera Strap
« on: August 25, 2014, 01:49:58 PM »
When I bought my A99 it come with a heavy duty strap that looks very much like the Op-Tech Pro strap. The only words in it are Sony and Pro. It's a great strap and I thought is is standard issue. When I was back in Bangkok again last month I went to buy a lens and the salesman brought out the standard strap which he had forgotten to give to me. The strap he supplied originally is a great comfortably sturdy strap made by Sony but I've not been able to find another anywhere

Do you mean he took back the first strap? If so I hope you didn't buy a lens from him.

I have seen those straps on ebay, sometimes with Sony on them, others not. Have a look on eBay or amazon for neoprene camera strap.

I have mine Dave, as I said I thought it was the standard strap. Great strap and if I ever get the funds for a2nd body will be on eBay looking for one. So much more comfortable than the original and so much more secure.

A little off-topic, but I saw this yesterday (a quiet day at work :-)) and couldn't believe the price :

I hope that helps someone somewhere.
