If you must have an ND filter then buy an unbroken one. The time spent cloning out the line, not to mention the possible reduction of IQ in your photos, would be prohibitive. Besides, a variable ND filter is much more useful in my opinion, although they are more expensive.
What is a big stopper anyway, never heard of it.
