Sony A7s shutter going crazy!
« on: June 09, 2016, 12:02:25 AM »
Hi Everyone-
New here, and excuse if this issue has come up before- couldn't find it in forum, so thought I'd take a shot...
Love my A7s- however, 2 times (each during a pro shoot of course) the shutter went into a rapid fire of 4 shots. At first I thought it was the drive taking 4 images- but no- only one image per burst of 4 shutter releases appears. The LCD screen says "Processing..." after the burst occurs.
The first time this happened I asked some ProPhoto people in the know and they were stymied. I re-set the camera settings to the default and re-programmed my preferred settings again. Worked fine till same thing happened today. I'm thinking must take in for a diagnostic (out of warranty - grrr.)
Has anyone had this happen? Thoughts would be appreciated, and thanks!

I would tend to agree with you about taking it in for a diagnostic check. I would, however, check that the Drive Mode is set on single shooting. Menu > Camera > 2 > Drive Mode. You never know.

Check if by mistake you go from AUTO ISO to multi frame NR(noise reduction). Is next to auto ISO
