Olympus OM lenses on a NEX-6
« on: April 26, 2014, 12:24:56 PM »
Has anyone experience using Olympus OM prime 24mm, 28mm, 50mm, and 135mm lenses on a NEX-6 with an adapter and confirm its worth it quality, sharpness, contrast etc.

I have a few in a cupboard and wondering if its worth getting an adapter for the NEX if they perform on the APC mount?

I was looking for too, but no luck to buy any one so I invested in Minolta MD/MC. As far as I know they are one of the best, so go for it. Adapter it will cost you only about 10$

I've tested them quite extensively on the A7R and so the A6000 will be more forgiving due to the smaller sensor. Overall, performance is pretty good for the Olympus OM Zuiko lenses I tested (, although as focal length approaches 50mm and beyond performance at wider apertures is better. The 24mm, for example, is pin sharp on centre, but not so great at the edges until stopped down.
