and no doubt, Sony will still be slagged off on the AP forums despite all these awards
I'm sure!  One mod calls the Sony NEX "disgusting", which I thought a rather strange description, and the same bloke thinks the a900 is the ugliest camera made. Oh well :)

It's the same as those that proclaim they 'hate' Sony for the Playstation hack - something 'threatens' the 'supremacy' of their favourite, so must be bad.
It is difficult to explain to white mice that black cats are lucky...

I`ve been a member on AP for much longer than here since I`ve been an A mount user for only a couple of years.
I was not really surprised at the response to Sony`s success since A mount users of the Sony board are few in number these days.
Many who did take part no longer do for various reasons, which is sad.I note that several are active here more than I.
I need to rectify that.FWIW I`m also a member of Dyxum and Photoclubalpha as well as the Rangefinder forum and Cambridge in Colour.IMO there are few more knowledgeable people about Minolta/Sony than David Kilpatrick and Michael Hohner.
It`s a wonder I find time for anything else.

Cheers

Fantastic results for Sony! Wahey! Finally getting some recognition.
I don't have a photograph, but you can have my footprints. They're upstairs in my socks.

The bigotry against Sony cameras is fascinating, I think the real problem is that Canikon has got a captive market and has by (opting for in lens optical is) has  in effect conned a lot of people into investing in expensive new lenses with complex mechanical equipment (as in optical is mechanisms) that will eventually wear out. This is actually one reason why a moved away from Canon equipment to first Olympus 4/3rd (and then after seeing some of Dr Who's work with a Sony camera) I in due course moved to using Sony cameras.

Sory about that one but I was at one time quite heavily biased towards Canon cameras and I quite liked my Canon 400D.
