Faces Challenge Shortlist
« on: February 15, 2007, 02:42:52 PM »
OK, this was really tough. People portraits are, I think, very hard to get right, so the ones I have selected are the ones that caught my eye and were a little different. As the subject was Faces, there were some other good faces of the non human type which made it even harder to choose.

I'm also really happy to see some of our newer members entering too, so well done to everyone for putting the effort in.

So, I managed to narrow it down to 6 images from different authors. It took me two cups of tea to narrow this down, so you can see how hard it was :)

For all those that didn't make it, don't be put off trying, it doesn't mean your images were bad or anything like that, and the selection below is my personal choice. My decision was based more on impact of the image rather than technical ability.

Now, to vote, please send a pm to fother with your first, second and third place choices. A big thanks to Fother for helping out. With the op date looming I've just got loads to sort out. Any votes coming to me will not be included as I probably won't get to read them for a while.

You have until Feb 21st (wednesday) to get your votes in and the winner will be announced shortly after. Once I'm out of hospital and get the result from Fother, I will contact the winner to arrange the prize with them.

So here they are, in no particular order:
