Frank, we have a poll going right now to see if the members want to bring back the POTM. See it Here. It will last until February 28th 2015.

Mass postings often find themselves in the members trash folder, due to their nature. ISPs weed them out.

Moving to another software program would be a major undertaking that I am sure Gary would not want to consider. Gary has said that he is finding it hard to give our forum much time due to his other commitments.

Thanks Charles - have voted :)

I did think about the difficulties involved in switching to another software program before posting the suggestion... I remember when Gary changed over to a new server (?) and the hic-cups from that.

Also understand about the mass mailings but felt the question needed asking IF the 'absent members' were to be given a nudge about the possibilities of the forum closing.

Threads do get quite a number of views/readings with out comments being made - that info is easily seen; this thread 417 as posting! - so I guess the possible closure will depend on "what" criteria Gary wants to use for the closure or non-closure of the forum... and the time he, you and John have to put in. We all get short on free time - and my time goes faster the older I get :)
