Now Open! Challenge #22. The Challenge for January 2009 is 'Where I live: My Neighborhood'

I don't think we need a Wikipedia definition for this one as it is quite self explanatory. However if you have any queries or require clarification, please feel free to PM or email me (AScot).

A maximum of 4 entries per forum member are allowed and should be posted in this thread.
(Please do not include photos that were submitted in previous challenges).

Maximum image size is 800 pixels on the longest side, and 200KB in file size - entries larger than this will not be considered for short-listing.
(contributors will be asked to re-post).

Entries close at 11.00PM on January 31st, Canadian EST Time. (4AM on February 1st, UK).

Including EXIF info (shutter speed, aperture, focal length, camera model, lens, etc) is not mandatory but is encouraged and welcomed.

Please note the standard challenge rules and posting guidelines.

Please remember there can be no comments on members submissions for the challenges (to ensure fair voting).
Comments on submissions will be deleted without discussion.

Good Luck!

The old RR sign coming into town. It's been replaced now. I cross at these tracks whenever I head into the city. It's ~ 1,500 m from our home. KM 7D and probably the Tamron 24-135. Handheld.

Shots on the goalie. Last winter on the ponds right across the road--about 200 m from my house and 200 m from my bird hide. A700 and probably the Tamron 24-135.

Just walking to work from the train station one morning, and snapping a few things that took my fancy.
