A new challenge - The Moon
« on: October 26, 2005, 06:18:51 PM »
This is a challenge suggested by one of the forum members.

I've slightly tweaked the idea to make it a bit broader but the challenge is to capture the moon in a way that says something about where you are from, what you are interested in, what you do etc etc

So not the normal moon shot, but something that's a little more interesting or clever. Digital manipulation is allowed as it's the final image that I'm interested in. As long as it's all your own work of course!

A t-shirt with a forthcoming design will be awarded to the winner - judged by me (and maybe one or two other people).

Pictures should be uploaded to the appropriate album here:

Deadline is end of November, when the christmas competition will be launched  :D

and no pictures of bums!!!!

I would hope that only us Brits would even think of such a thing!

I have some ideas.  (not the above).  Will have to try and remember to enter though!

very nice...but can one post more than one image? I think I've only one decent moon shot...so I'll upload that first...time and rules permitting I might post more...

yep, upload as many as you want (within reason). Obviously if someone uploads lots and lots of images then I might ask them to narrow down their selection. I'm happy with up to 10 images.

It's autumn and we live in a maritime climate.
However, we had great weather here yesterday and today, record october highs. T-shirts all round.

This challenge may be responsible for the upcoming wintry weather we might get during the next full moon in November   The past two full moons have been cosmic as we've had clear skies. Now the challenge is issued ...well, I will probably be using old moon images. Too bad, as I have a most cool idea for this challenge, but it can only be done if the skies are clear--obviously. I can see Photoshop in my future for this one.

I will post my 'hot' moon image that was posted on Photo.net ... BUT will not actually enter it in the challenge as it's been "published" before. I will try to take a new moon image...or make one. :)

No outdoor pictures here today .. going to be cool cloudy, maybe wet and it is windy.....we've had three weeks of warm sunshine!

Ok...uploaded my image of the moon. I'm not sure if it fits the criteria set forth by gaz so feel free to delete it if it does not.

The moon's waxing at the moment, I'm waiting for a clear sky + a decent amount of moon + for the moon to be out at night.

come on people..... not long until the end of November and the close of the moon competition.

surely there must be some more entries by now. I can't believe with 160 members we only get a total of 5 images from 4 different people.
