Sony Jpn Flash-Body Compatibility List
« on: March 31, 2010, 03:09:01 AM »
For those considering using older equipment with newer equipment, I've found this list useful: http://support.d-imaging.sony.co.jp/www/dslr/accy/accy_body_flash.html It's in Japanese, of course. Use a machine translation service like Babblefish to help you out.

Double circle = Match made in heaven (or Minolta labs)
Circle = Ok
Triangle = Partially ok
Cross = Cannot work / not compatible
Dash = (not sure, perhaps not applicable)
JapanesePhotos.Asia; Some basic photographic how to's.
Sony the200, Minolta 28mm 2.8, 50mm 1.4, 70-300mm Gregarious, 100mm 2.8 macro.

there is a SONY (english) list ..
 need to look at the Sony Europe site;
 I will post the link later,,,,

*however, I got caught out as (older) minolta equipment is listed as compatable; this simply means it will fire the Flash at FULL !! with no controls*

Here is the Sony Europe flash compatibility list - but be careful how you interpret it.

Sorry to hear. The odd thing is, my Minolta 5400HSS Program works fine in manual mode on the Sony A200, but only works at full power on the older Konica Minolta Alpha Sweet (aka 5d). Found that out yesterday. However, I suspect it might be to do with the DT lens. Will have to check a bit more, later.
