Well gone and done it..
« on: August 31, 2011, 07:52:26 PM »
After a long term of lens lust and the fact that I received a return of overpaid premiums I now have the Sony 24 - 70 f/2.8 SSM CZ as part of the armoury to fit onto my 900, not taken any shots as yet (will remedy that in the forthcoming days :-) ) however first impressions:-
Build Quality - absolutely solid, 'like a tank' springs to mind!
Focussing - blisteringly fast and even more silent than the 70 - 200 SSM, if that's possible

I can see this spending a lot of time on the front of the 900

V. Happy Alpha owner :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Congrats! It's the combo that I carry around with me most of the time. I am sure you will love it!

Heck Stef you must be as fit as a fiddle! The one downside I'm starting to realise about having the Alpha 900 is that the need to put Quality glass on it means the weight you have to lug around just increases, mind that's why I tell myself it justifies having a car with a big boot (trunk) and a fair bit of grunt!

Congratulations and I hope you get a lot of enjoyment out of it.  As one becomes more "senior" weight does become a consideration...john
