Minolta AF 35-70mm f/4
« on: March 02, 2010, 01:35:47 AM »
Well today I went to a locals house and checked out this lens, it is in very good condition, no wear on the body and glass is clear.  I put a deposit on it until later this week ($5 dollar deposit).  He is selling it for $48 dollars plus a minolta body (something 3000 I think?)  Is it a good deal..?

Nesneros,

Thats a great lens at a good price too, not sure about the body. Its probably a Dynax 3000.

Good lens.
Good price.
Dynax 3000 film camera is effectively a free bonus :D

That's a good lens which takes very nice pictures.
$48 is not a great price, but a good one.

I agree with everyone else, they are a very nice lens, particularly for full frame cameras - the field of view for APS-C is a bit "unusual" at 35mm equiv. of 52.5-105mm. $48 is a very good price compared with what they go for on eBay UK which can be £70 and I've seen them go for more! The only snag is the "macro" setting is only at the wide end and they don't auto-focus in the macro mode - but there is an easy hack.

I got one recently for 31. $41 US is about right if it includes postage and handling
