Rose shot with four flashes
« on: January 27, 2009, 08:46:18 PM »
Am not sure entirely under which thread to put this image? This below is an example for focus stacking in Photoshop which means that you focus on different parts of the rose and then combine (in my case five) layered images into one composition by which the sharpest parts of each image are revealed. Furthermore: in this case I connected one HVL-F58 AM flash to the camera body; used some tape over the hole in the stand to enable me to trigger 3 other Sony flashes wireless. Last but not least this is an example for how the CZ 135mm performs on the Sony A900.

That looks great Stef. Can you do this with any image? Are all th eimages taken from the same angle with a tripod?

Yes Frank you can- BUT the object can't move and your camera needs to be on a tripod if you want "perfect" results. Also no change of aperture or in fact anything else- just put your camera on manual focusing and shift the focus that way- don't touch anything else!

All too much... You gotta show me a build up. The result is amazing. The lens is giving you a 10 on the smileometer. Can it be cropped closerthis is a beauty but would love to see a closer crop..
