Rogie falls on the North coast 500 route. This route takes you from Inverness, to the West coast and then right round the North of Scotland and back down the East coast to Inverness.
Clashnessie falls, part of the route but requires a little leg work. Raining when i took this one so never hung around for any more shots.
Scots pine high up on the banks of Loch Maree, Slioch is the mountain in the distance
A dull morning at Mellon Udrigle looking out towards Beinn Ghobhlach
Some rocks on Nisabost beach, Harris.
Very impressive images all. Designs on rocks look man made.
Interesting shots as always.
My favourite is probably the third of the first set.
I also like the first of the first of that set, but find my eye pulled very strongly from the centre of the image to the bottom right, such that the tall tree / sky seem almost redundant in the image - Looking at possible crops, then making it square either by cropping off the bottom or top both appear to work (probably cropping off the bottom would be my preference).
I agree with Jonathan on first choice but a bit too much sky for my liking. Removing most of it would focus the eye on the tree and Slioch which balance each other nicely.
The basalt/granite swirls in the rock facing in the last two are fascinating and would make a nice abstract ....john
The third for me and I basically agree with John (chappo1). Remove about two inches of sky putting the water line at the bottom third point (rule of thirds) and it all falls into place.
