God, is my hair that long!  I need to get it cut :)

Great to put some faces to names.  Think it was a expensive meet for Steve, the way his eyes were popping out when he was handling Robs 300 f/4.

BTW - Gary's (the Nikon user) photos can be viewed at:

His D300 isn't a patch on our A700 - as you can see by his photostream :)

I never expected to see so many photographers in Wellies! That middle shot there looks familiar.

Youre all too funny
The wellies are essential for visiting most Bristol Channel locations as there is always a slimy deposit of mud left behind when the tide goes out !

But yes it was a great get together and we didnt get too many funny looks !
Though we did get asked at Porlock what we were all taking pictures of ???

Will have to do it again sometime.

And Yes, im surprised Steve gave up the 300/4 quite so easily ;-)

Yes the location was ideal for everyone in terms of travelling, i think we all had about 60-70 miles to travel.
My friends also think I'm nuts spending £0000's pounds on photography or fishing, But then they go out of a Saturday night and get through £50 on beer and smoke £40's worth of cigarettes a week.

But as i have always said, if you enjoy it then to hell with what anyone else thinks !

The faces to names are as follows (left to right)
Simon [Springtide]
Rob [minolta mad]
Steve [steve]
Ian, Steve's friend and a canon user
Gary, Simon's friend and a nikon user.

Exactly Rob!! Sound like my buddies, they crack on me a bit for the camera deal but they like to go out to night clubs and drink and they pay $20 (US) to get into the darn place and then easily spend $50+ in there. To each their own, I'm happy with my camera he he.
