a couple more tongues that I didn't have time to put up

I used the wide area focus rather than the local I normally use on the 700 and was impressed how good a job it did though not many of the cats were moving fast :). I am very impressed with the level of detail in the fur when you zoom in to 100%

Great shots, Fud. My favorites are #1 in the first set and #4 in the second set.
Have you done a direct comparison between the 700 and 900?

Peter I have not done a direct comparison but last time I went to the WHF I used the A700 plus 70-400 (as opposed to the A900 plus 70-400 mainly this time) and my overall impression is that there is more detail in the fur and around the eyes with the 900.  I also believe the colours straight out of the camera are better with the 900 (which was one of the main reasons I eventually bought one)

Wonderful images! #2 (looks like natural surroundings) #8 (I love tigers and it's beautifully sharp) and #9 because it's a cracking action shot in natural looking surroundings.

I want an A900................. (turns wistful)
