From this last weekend working in Cumbria during the floods. Turns out our own village fared worse than the Lake District.
Not very high definition images – the conditions were appalling and some were shot from the car as stopping was not possible. The high ISO has resulted in some ‘interesting’ stuff …..
Bassenthwaite lake was in flood. The ‘broccoli’ at the far lake’s edge are trees that should be on land – as should the fence in the foreground. The ‘pinkish’ lake centre is a result of churned up mud/high ISO/lack of colour options on the web..... And that horizon is level - I checked

Some fields were OK. The sheep in this image were fine but we saw plenty that were ‘marginalised’ on higher ground and with lambs.

The journey home was pretty grim – but at least there wasn’t much traffic.
