spotted this in a tree and took a dozen or so pictures until it took off.


 thank god I had the 500mm mirror lens, even though this is a crop too

Nice in flight action shot Gordon.  You just needed a bit of stage management to ask it to angle so that you get some brightness in the eye :wink: :wink: ....john
