Why bother with a camera ?

Photography without a camera, impressive stuff.

Love the picture of the baby, but then I'm a big softie.

I believe some of my pinhole camera shots are amongst my best. Some taken with a piece of film in a cardboard box with a tiny hole in front.

Man Ray was one of the pioneers of the kind of imaging you reference here and used to make images on film without a box. He also pioneered many of the mind tricks now done in photoshop. Man Ray called his images Rayograms (the std term is Photogram):
The alternate term is Rayograph
