Been a while looking for a macro lens. Can anyone give an opinion on the following please.

Tamron SP 90mm f2.5 Manual focus Macro / portrait lens,

Its on flea bay for £145.00p, including a focus rail.

From what I can gather on the net, it seems to be quite a performer, gives the newer 90mm f2.8 a run for the money.
