Sorry Rex, but I can't find the post you are referring to? The is one "nostalgic" one, but that is a review re the A850?

Here is what he said "....One more thing: you will hate me for this I know but there is a rumor I am working now. Until a week ago I was 99% sure OVF would never come back at Sony. Now I am receiving some “signs” and I am no more that sure…Stay tuned on SAR. I really hope I can post a reliable info about that soon!...."

I have been using an OVF for a couple of weeks on my A700 because the A77 was in the shop.

I admit the view screen is better with the OVF, but I much prefer the many benefits of the EVF!

I have said it many times on here but again... I was anti EVF but now having owned my own (wife had an A55 for a few years) for a few months, I would not go back...john

I was out doing a shoot today with a Sony a65 and a Nikon D95, an excellent OVF on the D90 but I was happier with the a65 and all the information on the screen.

I've enjoyed the EVF of the a77 so much that i plan to retire my a900 for an a99 very soon.

I would not rule out an OVF for a 36mp camera should Sony decide to make one, perhaps devising some method to put all the information on the OVF, One thing though is that most likely this would be a very expensive camera perhaps twice the cost of an a99 (or more) and aimed very firmly at the top end Canon market.
