Nice ones! It is always lovely if you can do something good with your photography. It is a nice set of animal images and some flower pic- like the spider one....can't get it over myself to shoot them- prefer to run away...

Congratulations Gordon,

No matter the reason we shoot photos, personal pleasure or work it's a great feeling to be recognized.

Nice work Gordon. Another way to get your work around -- and make you feel good -- is to donate framed prints to charitable orgs. I don't know how tax laws work where you live (UK, right?), but here I can get a tax receipt for a minimum of $135 or for whatever the framed print sells for at a fund-raising auction. Here's how it works. I get a  request to donate a framed print. I pay for the print and frame. The charitable org sells the picture at some special event--they typically go for $100 to $200 each at silent auction. The org gets the money and I get a tax receipt which means I usually break even on the donation. Everyone wins. They get money, someone gets a print and I feel good.

We raised $1,845 for the local library in October doing this. I may even end up making a few dollars because the tax refund should be greater than my costs.

Again .. nice work. Good on ya!

Merry Christmas!

Clive

Thanks everyone.

I am more than happy to help charities at any time of the year.

I got my opics there because we adopted a cat from the cats protectino league and found this charity site through the CPL website.

After exchanging e-mails, we sent a cd with 500 images on for them to use.

I dont give to all charities, mainly to the British Heart Foundation, and Cancer research due to the fact that I lost my dad to a heart attack and both my in-laws to cancer.

Next year I will concentrate on trying to make more money out of my pics as I want (need?) the new A700.
