Browser used to access dynaxdigital
« on: October 28, 2012, 05:13:37 AM »
I have been experiencing slow loading and the the occasional time out on the site over the last week.
I reset my favourite Firefox to "default" settings but that did not really do much, so gave Google's Chrome a go and this seems to have made things a lot better.
I have no idea why but if it works then I have a new favourite browser.
Anybody have any ideas of what is going on?
What do others use? ......john

Chrome.

I've given up on Firefox - it's been useless the last few updates.

Thanks Michael.
I have been using Firefox for as long as I can remember and it is in the last few weeks it has been playing up so in the course of trying things Chrome did well.
To eliminate time of day I have been trying Firefox and then, if it hangs, immediately trying Chrome.
So far so good... john

I also used firefox for years and swapped to chrome recently, I build a lot of websites and mainly this is done through a web interface, so a good reliable browser is paramount, even integrated my calendar and email into it, and the add on tools seem to be better than the firefox extensions, It was also very easy to migrate from firefox into chrome, with all my links passwords etc, definitely a thumbs up from me.

I use Safari, no major problems. Then I use Tapatalk for access from my mobilephone ... like now. Works fine!

I`ve tried and failed to get on with Firefox and Chrome.

For the last two years it`s Opera for me.It`s very fast and accessing regular sites is quick using its Speed Dial function.

I`d recommend it every time.

Firefox.
Been using it for several years and never experienced any problems.

I've used Opera for some 10+ years. It is a very capable browser and I like that it is a minor player compared to IE/Firefox/Chrome. I've never had a major problem with it. Earlier this year there was a problem with Flash (kept telling you to install latest version, even though it was installed) but there was a work around, and it is now resolved. Never had a problem accessing most sites with it though, including this one.

Thanks all, most enlightening. Interesting nobody even mentioned IE .  Chrome is now the default browser.  I  will tuck Opera and Safari into the memory in case......john

Firefox began having problems when they started the frequent updates. It depends on what plug ins are installed. I have had my share of Firefox problems and had to do some investigating to fix them. Everything is OK now.

I tried Chrome, quite good but was lacking a number of features, so I reverted to Firefox and persevered in my troubleshooting.

IE and Safari were not to my liking, can't remember the specifics.
