Resizing brushes and tools in PSE
« on: December 03, 2012, 02:25:26 AM »
I've been messing around with assorted Photoshops (full), PS LE and PSE for about 14 or 15 years! And I never knew this!! I don't read much and trudge along in my old-fashioned ways. However, of late, I've been upgrading by reading more and watching videos. (Remember, when I started using PS 5, there were no You Tube and online help sites. No "Dummies" books. So I plodded along. ;)

If you know this already (probably most PSE users), you will think of me as a laggard. If you don't know this (like my BIL), you will think this is cool. This is one of the handiest things I've ever learned in PSE. I am embarrassed that I never knew this before. :-[

The bracket keys (as show) are used to increase and reduce the size of assorted tools and brushed. The right bracket key increases tool size and the left bracket key reduces size.
All these years, I've been using the little popup box ... with the X through it.

Why had no one told me this before?! :P :P

Aha! One of the advantages of learning PS at college (twice) ;) There's all sorts of shortcuts like 'P' for pen tool 'B' for brush tool etc. Don't know then all but they are pretty handy.

Funnily enough - I had to tell Mr W this one a couple of years ago. If you don't know. you don't know. Here's one for PC and CS4 . Don't know if you have a newer version then me.
