« on: August 02, 2013, 10:41:28 AM »
ACR ver. 8.1 is now available.  Check the link below for info. on this release.   Note that, while this link refers to Lightroom, the ACR ver. 8.1 update is available for Photoshop and Elements users also (Help > Updates).

UPDATE:  Adobe's announcement indicates - Camera Raw 8.1 was released not only for PS CS6 and Lightroom 5 but also for PSE 11 - however, the Adobe Application Manager is not displaying/installing the update when it comes to PSE 11.  I'll post a further update re ACR 8.1for PSE 11 when Adobe sorts it out.

Thanks for the heads up Kap.

I am still on CS5 and Lightroom 4.4 and see no reason to upgrade as I am still struggling with the older versions. I am sure there are others who will appreciate the information though. :D

I actually have not upgraded to LR 5 yet.  I learned the hard way that it is often better to wait until a second update is available for any new version of many programs.   I am glad I did not upgrade to LR 5 as, fom what you read, there were a number of annoying bugs.

I will upgrade now though and, with that, an ACR upgrade.

Thanks for the information.  I will have a look at 8.1 when I have some time free to see what it will do for me.
