ACR Camera Calibration
« on: October 17, 2010, 09:12:11 PM »
Hi, I installed PSE 9 and ACR ver. 6 last week.  I use a Sony Alpha 350.

In the ACR program, when I look at the 'Camera Calibration' panel and drop-down menu I see "Adobe Standard" and "ACR 4.4".

I see that, in the unzipped ACR downloaded file, you get two files and a folder called Win64. One file is Camera Raw.8bi which is the ACR plug in. The other file is CameraProfiles.exe which is, I guess, the Camera profiles executable.

I attempted to run this file but received an error message that the plug-ins could not be found .... I did move that unzipped file with the 64 bit file and this cameraprofiles.exe file to another location entirely... So, can anyone please tell me if (a) I should be running this file to get my Sony Alpha 350 creative styles, etc. in the camera calibration panel; and (b) where should this cameraprofiles.exe file reside before I run it?

Thank you for any help.

Sorry, the exact error message I get when I try to run the cameraprofiles.exe file is

cannot initialize the plug-ins directory.

Can anyone help me?
