You are way ahead of PC Photo, you gave us this tip, Sharpening in lab mode, years ago. Well on December 18, 2007. :D  See here.

Thanks- err for reminding me - (cough...looking for excuses now:) but it's always good to have it from another source as well- I assume their English is more accurate.
